Our team is highly experienced in delivering compassionate and effective dental care for children

We understand that a positive dental experience in childhood can set the foundation for lifelong healthy habits and confidence in oral health. That's why we are dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive dental care for children of all ages.

Our team consists of experienced dentists and dental care professionals who are specially trained to work with children. We use the latest techniques and technology to deliver high-quality dental services in safe and modern facilities., from routine check-ups and cleanings to more complex procedures including gas and air sedation. We’re one of the only practices in Essex to be able to offer this in house.

At Yorkshire Grey Dental Surgery, we prioritise prevention and education. We believe that regular dental visits and education on proper brushing and healthy diets are key to maintaining good oral health. We work closely with parents and guardians to develop personalized dental care plans for each child, tailored to their unique needs.

We understand that visiting the dentist can be a daunting experience for some children, which is why we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment. Our goal is to make every child feel safe, comfortable, and at ease during their dental appointments. We take the time to answer questions, explain procedures, and provide a positive and stress-free experience for every child.

We look forward to working with you to achieve a lifetime of healthy smiles!

What to do if your child has toothache.

  1. Comfort your child: Toothaches can be very painful and distressing, so it's important to provide comfort and reassurance to your child.

  2. Apply a cold compress: Place a cold compress on the outside of your cheek near the painful tooth. This can help to reduce swelling and numb the area.

  3. Give over-the-counter pain medication: Paracetamol or ibuprofen can help to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Be sure to follow the recommended dosage for your child's age and weight.

  4. Schedule an appointment with a dentist: Toothaches can be a sign of a serious dental problem, so it's important to have your child seen by a dentist as soon as possible. Call your dentist and explain the situation to schedule an appointment. We can be contacted via our contact page here, on info@yorkshiregreydental.co.uk or on 01376561748

  5. Monitor your child's symptoms: Keep an eye on your child's toothache and any other symptoms they may be experiencing, such as fever or swollen gums. If the pain or other symptoms get worse or if there is any swelling affecting breathing or swallowing, seek medical attention immediately.

Remember, it's important to take toothaches seriously and seek prompt dental care to prevent any further complications.
